That enterprises have switched to service model helps in that they keep some services on old tech but implement some on newer, better stuff (ex Python at BofA).

I've heard that some US banks (BofA?) do as well.

When you say, "one of the large banks" I think of Chase, BofA, Wells Fargo, etc.
