AirWave is Aruba's software solution for managing and monitoring the health and usage of massive WiFi deployments.

You don't have the right to say whatever you want on your government granted airwave monopoly.

We could legislate the broadcasting and publication of information, based on that extended simile: regulating 'antenna power' and the airwave spectrum...

Hopefully a future step is enforcing airwave time limits/parity as is done in traditional media, for the countries that have such rules.

But sometimes that's what it takes to outperform your router's algorithm in the face of airwave competitors which can easily outnumber it.

I expect the future of airwave use to be primarily relatively short ranged point to point transmissions.

If this fits you, we want you to help build the UI and APIs for AirWave.

If someone was 'squatting' an airwave, that implies they're not using it for any significant business activities, and hence they couldn't be granted ownership.

Or create business around the block (those people can probably fly airwave).

I would have to assume it's less to be oppressive and more to just minimize excessive airwave congestion in the area.

The AirWave feature has saved me some money too.

Federally regulated airwave media aside, this is the internet.

This is a political gambit; the idea that "free over-the-air television" is some massive public good still has power as the rationale for FCC airwave-rationing and censorship.

(For example, Bill Clinton stated that he supported it "because essentially there's always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows.") Many of these partisans would like to apply the doctrine to cable television and other non-public-airwave broadcast media.

But, the first song ('When Things Go Wrong' by Airwave) became my favorite thing to listen to for at least a year or so in high school.

It looks like they've had to bring in a large collection of vendors in order to solve the technical challenges (Remedy, McAfee, MS's AV & System Center, Aruba Airwave) and functional requirements (iTunes, MS Office, Adobe CS4).
