During this time several of our ventures will come in for 4 full weeks of working to progress their ventures and participating in different training sessions we’ve put together for them.

On June 30th we announced our $40M series B led by Promus Ventures with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners (Skybox).

I see Google a little adrift in many of their new ventures, from Google+ to date.

FFmpeg has been used in so many profitable ventures (hint[1] hint[2] Netflix).

I guess Plug & Play Ventures is the outlier here, having started in real estate.

I'm using Joyent in my new ventures without hesitation.

In fact, when we did some joint ventures with MS while I was at Corel, the QAs we worked with were some of the best I've ever met.

Just recently funded by M2 ventures, we're re-inventing the entire concept of higher education and we are looking for world-class developers to join us as we grow the team.

There are others (particularly "lifestyle" ventures, certain specialty ventures or bootstrap ventures that want to start on the cheap and convert later) that may be best served by setting up an LLC.

The idea is not to have some end goal of replacing lawyers because that leaves founders helpless when it comes to the "incredibly complex" legal aspects of what they do in their ventures.
