udon

The scary one for her is my favourite: kitsune udon.

Why would I go with Udon (eager, functional) rather than underscore (also eager and functional, but more popular) or wu.js (lazy & functional)?

I've moved onto refrigerated udon noodles.

And other food depending on where you are in Brazil (manju, dorayaki, gobo, rakyo, azuki, wasabi, ra-men, udon,...).

My limited experience with it in Japan is that I prefer store-bought udon (which is generally sold fresh) to store-bought ramen (which is generally sold dried), but I'm sure if I looked at my noodle aisle more closely I could find a million permutations.

- 1 pack of udon noodles - a bunch of broccoli rabe or kale sauteed with garlic - 1 egg - chili crisp - sesame oil Sautee the veg while boiling the water, cook the noodles, drop in a beaten egg and the udon seasoning stuff, stir and add the cooked veg, pour into a big bowl and adorn with sesame oil and chili crisp.

Last March, I visited my wife (then fiancee) in Hiroshima and spent 3 weeks in a 250sqft weekly-rental apartment in sharing a twin bed, living off of Ogura toast and miso soup for breakfast, < $5 meals at Ramen and Udon shops, making Katsu curry together, and going on walks, and it was the best time in my entire life.

Udon, Ramen and Soba abound, and Kansai in particular has a large number of Konamon, flour-based meals and snacks (resulting from Allied food aid after the bombings).

Udon actually came out of various hacky functional JS libraries that I'd written over the years, and part of the motivation was to pull those together into a clean and coherent codebase.
