(My taekwondo teacher, now a 4th dan black belt, started taekwondo in his late 20's.

It's more similar to dacing or Taekwondo classes that kids can easily go and try out.

I started taking taekwondo classes 4 days a week (classes are about 90 minutes), and it's great.

Male x female in contact sports like karate boxing taekwondo is not fair.

I have yet to see taekwondo or karate training that isn't a total joke.

I could play it only at Taekwondo gym I was attending to.

My kids do Taekwondo and church youth groups.

I just recently started taking taekwondo, and it's pretty incredible.

I'm more of the runner type, doing Taekwondo 2 days a week and more body weight workouts like this (and I eat fairly well for the most part).

I just picked up a couple of brochures of yoga and taekwondo classes near my home - each go for 150$ per hour (individual) and 100$ per hour(group)!!

I also have a black belt in taekwondo, studied other martial arts/self defense techniques, and I'm big and fat and subjectively beautiful with a couple thousand Twitter followers;) I'm part of a bunch of women/diversity-focused communities I can turn to for help too.

I was lucky to have parents that pushed me out of my comfort zone into doing cool stuff (I trained in Taekwondo for 12 years, including 6 months in Busan, South Korea, and got my 16 year old ass kicked for the entire 6 months) -- my brothers also have grown up well adjusted to dealing with risk and excitement and danger.

Does an experienced kendo, aikido, taekwondo, <insert established MA here> fighter think of himself as a "warrior"?

But the types of workouts I do are guided, for example I did taekwondo for four years, and recently switched to doing "boot camp" workouts.

One that springs to mind is Jessica Cox[1] (via reddit iama[2]), who is both a black-belt in Taekwondo, and has a pilots licence.
