(As a gamer, though, I'm over the moon, especially since Star Citizen will probably support the Rift.) I've found Australians relatively politically disengaged, with the general opinion - at least in Sydney - basically being "they're all scumbags anyway, things will work out in the end", followed by some expletives about Gillard, Rudd or Abbott depending on where the Australian leans...

So, basically, everyone is calling K-Rudd a bloody idiot about the filter, but still it gets implemented.

You'll notice for example that you can openly call K-Rudd a bloody idiot on national television for trying to implement this, and nothing will happen to you.

I saw Rudd's demo and have been tantalized by its possibilities ever since.
