Unfortunately it turns out Pinto has a slew of bugs that require you skip all errors (ick).

Or maybe that if you rammed a knitting needle into the back of a Pinto it would trigger a fuel leak.

So the insecurity of infotainment systems in cars is NOT like the Pinto issue.

They knew their Pinto would burn a few hundred people to death each year.

And even factors within Ford's control trumped the Pinto gas tank design in importance.

Back then, Ford saved a couple dollars on each Pinto sold by not adding some protective parts to the fuel tanks of the vehicles.
