A funny thing about Odense is that HCA was known as a quintessential Copenhagener by his contemporaries.

Brøndby is often Red Sox, Odense is Kentucky, and Hillerød is sometimes Whatfield.

A few years later I changed university and moved to Odense (they are the 3rd and 4th largest cites).

I should know as I drive though such an area on the way to Odense 4 times a week.

I remember when I moved to Odense Denmark in 2013 - they had LED street lights all over the place.

That hasn't stopped Odense putting his name and likeness everywhere in the city, so much that HCA nowadays is closely linked with Odense - even though his person and work never actually was beside his childhood.

I read about this in Odense at either his house or the museum?

Edit: I agree re: not wanting to go back to any other country, except that we're also looking at somewhere like Odense (Denmark).

If you moved from Copenhagen to Odense (160km) or vice versa, it'd be a change certainly, but not a real rupture like moving to another country would be.

Therefore a list of three Danish city names would be correctly sorted as: * Albertslund * Odense * Aarhus This feels like material for another Tom Scott video.

I don't think there is too much difference between Odense or Aarhus, I didn't like Aalborg as much but it's been 20+ years since I lived there.

The "issue" with rural Jutland is that about 1/5 the danish population lives in Copenhagen, with another 2-3/5 living in Århus, Aalborg and Odense, and as jobs migrate to the major cities, the smaller villages have problems attracting people.

We had a small office in a smaller town (Odense) in Denmark and reopened ~July 2020.

Odense has a lot of IoT and robotics going on, and Copenhagen has everything.

If you work in IT like I do, Aarhus is a little more boring than both Copenhagen and Odense.
