As I'm writing this, the lidocaine is wearing off after my second to last dental visit to repair rather significant dental problems myself.

The lidocaine was supposed to be the painful one, but it was like a tickle compared to the punctures.

An example would be the use of lidocaine and adrenaline/epinephrine in local anaesthetic for closing a wound in the extremity.

At a recent dentist visit the Lidocaine local anaesthetic was accidentally injected into a (small) artery.

If you're going to the dentist, do you eschew nitrous oxide and lidocaine?

I perform these procedures semi-regularly, and in some cases they can be painful (even with lidocaine).

I'm not a doctor or in the medical field but I've read injected lidocaine is used to treat ventricular fibrillation.

As it turns out, lidocaine causes a lot of nerve damage.

All the while, the NSA continues to smear a mixture of poop and lidocaine on their bullets, firing into the air indiscriminately from an armored bunker.

I also received lidocaine, and felt rather great afterwards for the next few hours.

There are also local anesthetics like the lidocaine family.

In that sense, lidocaine doesn't stop a heart attack.

We went to a lot of doctors, tried a few “remedies” from small scientific studies and internet: metformin, nicotine, lidocaine, multiple supplements and vitamins, some antivirals and many other things.

However — in my first year of residency, during my rotation at the VA, while performing my first brachial plexus block, I unknowingly injected lidocaine into the axillary artery: as the patient began seizing, the attending calmly said "Joe, take out the needle, I'm going to give him some diazepam." Worked!

Again, it’s NOT painful at all, they use Lidocaine, you’ll feel way less than when they draw blood from your arm.

Lidocaine is a sodium channel blocker, it controls arrhythmias by blocking or diminishing the disorganized electrical activity going on in heart while hopefully not squelching whatever remaining dominant organized pacemaker activity there is.
