And sure nuclear has plenty of problems like amount of uran, cooling water in the summer etc.

Breeding plutonium is a different process than enriching uranium, sure, but with enough enriched uran you will have a nuclear bomb.

Less dependencies to other countries because Uran etc doesn't exist everywhere while the other materials are much easier to get globally.

And besides this issue, look at who owns uran and who consumes it.

In parallel there are plenty of countries who have lots of space and uran and could do more nuclear (ignoring the storage issue).

On the other hand, Germany also imported most of its uran from Russia.

We have a long tradition of uran-containing glass and ceramic objects/tiles/decoration/tableware.
