I went a Steiner school - much of what you describe sounds like the positive stuff of Steiners.

The difference between the work that comes out of the (New Zealand) state system and the Steiner system is vastly different and (imho) Steiner students are more artistically developed.

Actually, I think this issue was brought up in the book "How Not to be Wrong" by Jordan Ellenberg, and the MIT students eliminated risk by taking advantage of a Steiner system.

Steiner is a good street for a sidewalk cafe, trees, wide sidewalk and victorian houses.
