I'm comparing Doxygen and Sphinx for a new project; what things do you like about Doxygen over Sphinx?

As an example, I recently incorporated Sphinx search into a project we were working on.

With spyder I just ctrl+I and it displays using sphinx very nicely.

This is a deeply interesting problem space, though, and if you're interested there's quite a bit of discussion over it in the sphinx project and several research communities.

I didn't want to require devs to install Sphinx on their own machines and get it up and running for search to function properly.

Our Stack: - PHP 5.5 / JS / Mysql + Postgres - Sphinx Search - Snowplow Email Jud@Judson.biz - Would love to see any side projects, github, past/current work.

We do this with a lot of ruby code (but not really rails), mysql, puppet, debian, some couchdb, sphinx and git.

I have pocket sphinx installed on my raspberry pi and even in a quiet room it has false positives with just a list of 10 keywords.

However, I wonder whether sphinx would handle this.

I also didn't want devs to have the overhead of running Sphinx for search on their local boxes unless they were actively working on something related to search.

We do this for all of our services: mysql, redis, sphinx, the web app itself, and anything else we might need.

The PEP makes coroutines in python a first-class language concept, with all the benefits you can have from it (better support in IDEs, tooling, sphinx, less questions on StackOverflow).

But there is nothing unique to Go about their use of interfaces in Sphinx.

Sphinx does indeed a very good job and is continuously improved.

That way I kept the speed of Redis, and still get to use Sphinx.
