Are you referring to the long held contemporary debate on whether or not Khufu built the pyramids?

There's plenty of evidence that it was built for the Pharoah Khufu about 4,500 years ago.

For example the pyramid of Djedefre, son of Khufu who built the famous Great Pyramid.

It is about 4000 years old, right about the time of the reign of the pharaoh Khufu (who was allegedly buried inside).

Yet no body of Khufu or anyone else was found inside it.

Note that the dating of the Sphinx, implied by the Inventory Stela, as older than Khufu is pretty universally discounted by egyptologists as historical revisionism.

The gap in time between Khufu and Ramses is basically the same as the gap between the reign of Augustus and the Hundred Years' War.

Like, the death of Cleopatra in 69 BC is closer to our present day than it is to the building of the great pyramid of Khufu (~2600 BC).

With Khufu (4th Dynasty, Great Pyramid), the inscriptions are in his mortuary temple right outside the pyramid because that's where people would actually visit, not the interior of the sealed pyramid.

Dating of the pyramids is based off of things left around the pyramids and one mention of Khufu.

A lesser known example is the Old Kingdom deforestation, which is probably why none of Khufu's descendent's beat his pyramid.
