I worked out of WeWork’s SoHo office in NYC for a while and was pleased with the details they got right to make themselves attractive to startups (no pesky sales team, short notice to cancel, no nickel and diming on Wi-Fi, printers, etc.).

I'll still see faded Foursquare stickers on businesses (next to their LevelUp stickers..) Maybe if 4sq hadn't spent huge amounts of money on prime Soho office space and instead opened regional sales offices to get small businesses to do self-serve ads and promos, the perhaps that company would have had a chance.

And the two that you mean (Soho/betahaus) are actually overpriced trendy wastes of money.

It's often not too bad if you're leaving from Soho, but redevelopment has pushed lots of entertainment out of Soho, so I'm likely to be starting my journey home from Camden, Islington, Shoreditch or Waterloo.
