Is it just me, or is Shiraz Shivji the spitting image of a young Steve Jobs?!

Since this was a civil and not criminal matter, you’d just say that Shivji won (or Commodore lost) the lawsuit.

But at this time Tramiel had left Commodore along with Shiraz Shivji and other C64 engineers.

Shiraz Shivji from both the C64 and the Commodore 900 team ended up leaving with Tramiel when he bought the corpse of Atari.

And Shiraz Shivji (Atari ST designer) did work on the C64.

It would have been neat to see what they came up with, in light of the fact that Shiraz Shivji went to Tramel Tech / Atari.

I can't see anything there apart from Shivji that's common.

Shiraz Shivji (one of the designers of the C64 and eventually director of engineering at Commodore) worked on it and then left to join the new Atari Corp with Jack Tramiel where he was the chief designer of the Atari ST hardware.

The article was subtitled "The 68000 Unbounded" and had a nice interview with the chief h/w designer Shivji (forget his first name).

I believe the consensus is now that the Tramiels and Shivji were already hard at work on what became the ST ("Rock bottom price" project) before Tramiel discovered the Amiga IP and went after Commodore over it.

The Atari ST is in large part Shiraz Shivji's design, after coming over from Commodore where he worked on various things including the C64 and one of the ill-fated "business" computers that CBM was making.

The ST was designed by the designer of the Commodore 64, Shiraz Shivji, so the ST is its successor.

In particular Shiraz Shivji, who was the main designer of the ST, was part of the S900 project.

Another thing the C64 and Atari ST have is common is Shiraz Shivji.
