It's still hard to explain to people what living in a place like Roswell or Farmington is like.

I could speculate that space aliens secretly landed in Roswell and took over the government 60 years ago, but without evidence, it's just a story.

In ID4 it's implied that our computers are based on technology we've been slowly reverse engineering from the Roswell crash.

I currently work for a large enterprise company, at an office in Roswell (our office was moved here from Alpharetta a few months before I started) and I see lots of people (including me) commuting up.

I'm still surprised, when I bother to think about it, that no eager beaver has come up with the idea that perhaps the US did land on the moon, but only thanks to alien technology reverse-engineered from the remains of 1947 Roswell crash.

I realize a reader outside the US who was reading stories that show up in the gossip newspapers in supermarkets (my favorite the government's secret agreement with Aliens they met at Roswell NM) as if they were serious would have a pretty dim view of our government's sanity.

Reading this article sort of left me feeling the same way I imagine a child might feel when reading Erich von Daniken or a book about Roswell or something like that: a set of allegations that are (1) surprising, (2) seem to make sense, and (3) that are totally beyond the reader's capacity for counterargument.

Reminds me of the faked Roswell "alien autopsy" video that showed a series very quick edits in succession, no way to focus on anything or get a good look at what is going on.

Likely he didn't specifically mean tube worms and lobsters (excepting the case of convergent evolution) but if he had said something like "life" or "aliens" then the sort of imagery that comes to most people's minds are the classic Roswell Greys.

Roswell UFO crash is rumored to have been taken down by experimental military radar tests, not intentional military weapons.

Having been there, it is hard to imagine wanting to live in/near Roswell.

There's also the somewhat embarrassing bits like the UFO museum in Roswell--but we try not to talk about that.
