FYI, the menorah is actually the Mossad logo, though it doesn't change the point you're making.

Perhaps Twitter speculates that the insect (a non kosher food) with the menorah is making it unclean - and thus offensive.

Even if it were, say, a menorah, it could mean that the developers are Jewish.

There are other symbols which you can use which are not associated with the actions of your government, such as the Star of David or a Menorah.
