Marisa Mayer at Google famously had a gaggle of special junior PMs that she shepherded into high ranking roles.

This is true for every band from John Mayer to the Avett Brothers to your local Dead cover band.

That's right, you don't see the same level of vitriol directed at Marissa Mayer or Anne Wojcicki for a reason.

Marissa Mayer may have a lot of issues, but lack of will and technical knowledge is not one of them.
