You've overlooked that Maxwell / 980 Ti has a ton of overclocking headroom.

I guess you can say that ariving at Maxwell equations or QED is an exercise in curve-fitting in some sense.

The current "Maxwell's equations" are exactly the same as Maxwell's 20 equations, merely expressed in a more convenient form.
