On first day usually the Hotwheels would roll best followed by Matchbox then Majorette on perfect surface.

Heh yeah, I guess the flip side might’ve been working on me, Majorette was the exotic imported brand.

Nah the best ones were the Majorette cars.

I've always thought Majorette and Bburago were higher-end than MatchBox.

Funny, I’ve always thought the French Majorette were the best.

We didn't get that brand of toy in Oz when I was a kid, they are insanely detailed compared to a Matchbox, Majorette or Hot Wheels.

Also most Matchbox and Hotwheels ended up with bent axle from use while the suspension of the Majorette [1] would usually limit the risk of bending the axle unless you were crushing it.

After tear and wear[2] it was the exact opposite horder with Hotwheels wheel dragging on the ground and wheel arches with their bent axle, Matchbox dragging mostly on the wheel arches with the axle also bent a little and the Majorette would be mostly unscathed.

I’m part of that minority too, and as a kid growing up in the 80s the Majokits sets from Majorette were the best for me: city buses, construction trucks, and yeah, the same cars you could see on the street.

Over here in Europe I loved going on holiday to Spain as I could pick up [French] Majorette-brand toy cars, which I remember having much smoother wheels, so they would coast faster and longer than either Matchbox or Hot Wheels.

Then I immediately recognize most of them: I was playing with them when I was his age in the 70s, and they're still going strong:) (some are Matchbox, some Hot Wheels, but most are Majorette).
