Many Roblox devs use a different (much more popular) runtime called Lune for Roblox CI/CD, unit & integration testing, etc.

Leave the key work for the front-lune developers (feel free to code review it).

Disclaimer: I've contributed to Lune multiple times and have contributed off and on to Luau as well.

I can recommend that people check out Lune [1], it's a Luau runtime which includes a small but nice standard library.

I considered sending the first ten seconds of Clair de Lune through this thing to see what nonsense it would spit out.

And with Lune it also includes a very simple way to serve requests, which has always been a headache to do with regular Lua in a cross-platform way.

Yeah I would say books got it worse, there's a strong tradition of re-arranging old classics in new music, e.g.: kamasi washington remaking clair de lune.
