I disabled it when I started seeing a lot of private URLs (like Google Docs links with share access) in server logs.

From post docs and PhDs working on complex video and audio algorithms to hackers and designers working on insane web and mobile problems – we’re looking for the best and brightest.

- Rendered docs are much easier to read.

But there is a big difference between "industry" where some of our post docs go to work on for profit medicine and the academic labs.

I've built half a dozen startups, including Writely (aka Google Docs), and I can honestly say this is my favorite so far.

It is the only open source application framework entirely built around data syncing with Operational Transformation, the algorithm behind realtime conflict resolution in Google Docs, and formerly Google Wave and Etherpad.

"But they're not talking about people like me, they're talking about twenty-something Ivy League post docs with stellar CVs." We're trying to recruit a devops with AWS experience.

Google were very good at getting to be that big (biggest?) in a relatively short time and because they are so far ahead, anyone else will need not only to have better search, products (Android, Docs, Gmail, Self driving cars etc.) but also the infrastructure to match and exceed that of Google.
