I generally find the rules governing flagging a bit murky (even after searching around HN for dang's posts on this).

Then I made the mistake of doing Show HN but not using a link[2] which /user?id=dang helpfully pointed out was penalized.

Bringing in moderators like dang has helped a lot - the site definitely got too cultish around pg and YC, and it seems like things have improved since then, both content and attitudes of people on the site.

I fixed the capitalization after submitting this to HN, and dang (Dan) or another HN admin most likely fixed the "YC-backed" to the usual "(YC S15)".

Dang it, it didn't find the tracks that I copied on there before and so it's useless.

Dang it, now I'm nostalgic for playing MUDs on a VT1000 in the 90s.
