We defend the right of individuals to form corporations, cooperatives and other types of entities based on voluntary association.

It's more likely we need to make it easier for workers to form cooperatives and/or unions to minimize the excess economic rents on labor.

In most cases, the largest entity is viewed as corrupt and evil, because it has the means to make the most efficient decisions and capture all the value, but somehow indexes are regarded as altruistic cooperatives.

Another anecdote is in the 20s and 80s there was a lot of grown in mutual funds or I think the 20's term was stock cooperatives or whatever, the point is its "semi-unusual" for most equities to be owned by the equivalent of internet link aggregators, so other than index fund owners the dow doesn't really mean anything.

Cooperatives have amazing potential in the internet age, but seem to have been largely forgotten by modern day technologists.

Cooperatives (this will depend on details of structure, etc.) are often still subject to minimum wage laws, and of those that are, paying workers minimum wage as the only guaranteed payment with dividends/profit sharing/etc.
