Apparently those interested in intersectionality, refuse to consider the possibility that discrimination against white cisgender males and asian cisgender men is a thing.

This isn't even sex-deprived male cisgender nerds, most of the sexual content is created by females of various ethnicities.

Second, if you are a cisgender man, then yes you are a part of the dominant group in tech.

In terms of gender, cisgender men by far the norm, they have no problem being represented.

Cis is the antonym of trans, so cisgender is a term to refer to non-transgender people.

Linking to an essay like esr's might be off-putting to women, no-binary and transgender developers, but it's also off-putting to cisgender developers.

However, this does not consider the questions of what percent of those 99.7% would also be cisgender if they suddenly changed genders.

It is apparently the politically or academically correct way to refer to a male who identifies with the male gender identity; see 'cisgender'.

This makes me wonder how many females here are cisgender.

If it is.3% of the entire population, then there is a temptation to say that the other 99.7% is cisgender (which, depending on definitions, may be accurate).

I'm mostly white and adopt a cisgender disposition, but identify as agender.

I first heard the term "cisgender" two or three years ago.

I throw up a huge red flag (and usually just bomb out of the article completely) whenever I see someone using the word "cisgender", because experience has taught me that all it has in store is a lot of complaining about something without any suggestions of fixes.

I had to look it up, and I think I learned that /cis/ is short for /cisgender/ or /cissexual/ which is something like a word for "never been gay, never even thought about it." As a "straight white guy" I really had to struggle to read this post and interpret it without picturing the authors as the Womyn protesters from the movie PCU, all grown up and in serious business some years later.

When referring to men and women who had not undergone any hormonal treatment (whether they be cisgender or not), I added the label of “biological.” This was the language of my transsexually-identified informants (who, admittedly, often shortened it to “bio boys” and “bio girls”).
