You would run browsh on a power unconstrained server that you SSH to from your power-constrained device.

Debian Linux with Firefox or especially using BrowSH, is a depressing experience.

I think one significant difference though is that Browsh renders actual text for text content, so you can copy and paste, etc.

I think it's the point for browsh to rely on another piece of software that will focus on just that (headless firefox).

I find that carbonyl has even better chromium rendering than browsh.

These browsers are cool but I didn't know about browsh [1].

I've never heard of browsh but it's so cool to see that my site (which was built to be as static as possible) works well and even renders the WebGL in the terminal.

I wish if there was a simple browsh alternative which could use new image protocols in terminal (I think kitty protocol or other comes to my mind) to basically act as a complete browser.

I think it might be offtopic but is there any way that there are minimalist browsers which can work on let's say vps's but I wouldn't need to host a complete vnc server or set up with the debugging port magic of puppeteer or chrome I think browsh which is a text based web browser is the most recommended for something like this but browsh doesnt map things 1 to 1 and there are still some issues.

To my knowledge it's an actual browser implementation rather than "cheating" by using an existing browser like browsh (which is still quite cool).

Browsh is described as a "text-based browser", but under the hood, a more technical accurate way to summarize it would be "a software to stream a remote firefox in your terminal".

There are also options like Carbonyl[1] and Browsh[2] which do images and js in the terminal.

Browsh is different in that it's backed by a real browser, namely headless Firefox, to create a purely text-based version of web pages and web apps.
