If it's darkened to a blackish purple and is very hard to the touch, it is probably over-ripened.

Would be nice to have an explanation what exactly went wrong - I can see that graph 1 is needlessly "3D" which actually obscures the information, I can see that graphs 3 and 4 are just plain useless, and graphs 6 and 9 just hide the information by being 3D, but what's the problem with graph 5 (except that the caption is way too long, and maybe the blackish colouring hides the standard dev-bar)?

If the explanation was "air is blue" then the naive expectation would be that sun would appear blue against blackish background, basically the image of sun is being filtered through the atmosphere; if sun is white and air is blue then white filtered through blue should be blue?

You can produce "something" --- but it will usually be a blackish/gray mess that is hard to re-color with variable viscosity, melting point and other properties that make it hard to mold in mass --- and the result probably won't look like something that should end up in your kid's mouth.
