Some of the programmers of Bandersnatch did release Gift From The Gods from the ashes of Bandersnatch - which I definitely had on my Spectrum!

Black Mirror Bandersnatch for example was impossible to do on TV, but Netflix could do it.

Can a startup not make a bandersnatch-like web page with video on it?

Like what Netflix did with the Bandersnatch episode of Black Mirror years ago.

But something like Bandersnatch shows that it is technically possible.

I enjoyed Bandersnatch when it came out, but it seemed like a lot of extra work (especially relative to the amount of content and viewership) to have on each of their clients - and they have a _ton_ of supported platforms.

Back in the day I managed a Jabber + bandersnatch corporate server and it had many years of Jabber + AIM + MSN + ICQ + Yahoo chat but the database was tiny which is why I was very surprised to see a chat server take up so much space.

But surely Netflix could have setup 1 to 3 of the "best" variants of the Bandersnatch and let people watch those?

Would make economic sense for a ton more of "Choose your own Adventure" content I can imagine watching Bandersnatch and getting rid of the game developer in frame 1.

I enjoyed Bandersnatch, but I do not think it was the right tone for a launch title for this kind of project, personally.

Bandersnatch is one of the things they're keeping.
