I grew up near the Bama Pie headquarters in Oklahoma, and I think this story is misleading.

Once I block the obvious keyphrases above, I'll just have a newsfeed spammed with 'bama, Stalinist, African, and anticapitalist.

OK I've heard from every distant acquaintance and social media connection since 2007 who's even vaguely neo-con that 'bama is absolutely positively a verified practicing Muslim.

It's about finding a plausibly deniable way to frame the issue so that the US gets kneecapped by the inclusion of West Virginia or 'bama New Mexico or Chicago or whatever else it is that is an outlier and tanks its numbers while the thing on the other side of the comparison exempts that analogue entirely and this makes whatever policy position the person doing the framing is advocating for look good.

For example I made a "Yo Bama Bama" shirt that had custom art of Obama wearing a Yo Gabba Gabba hat with various phrases...

Can't they put something contemporary on it, like the Miley Cyrus bill or the 'Bama Bill?

Too bad that the president's name isn't really O'Bama as was reported (jokingly) a few years back when he visited Ireland.

The other part can be accounted for by saying Barack O'Bama autographed the jar.

Bama Pie is not a high-end, boutique bakery.

And next election, if an out of the closet Muslim was on the ballot, I'd vote for him, after all nothing relevant happened with "'Bama the Muslim" in charge, so the next Muslim president isn't going to be any more of a problem, right?
