I've spent all of a few months total of my life traveling in India at different times, including Agra, and though I'd never want to return to Agra in particular, already my overall impression didn't match up well with his.

We would expect the Industrial Agra crowd to be "pro deer", and the Alternate Agra crowd to be "pro balance" while Industrial Agra itself is "pro wolf".

But anyway, coming back to the point -- this "back to nature" sort of mindset is no use in the densely populated cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, etc.

What's interesting is the turf battles going on over what I would say are details vs the "news you can use." Industrial agra =>:P tasting + less desirable enviro impact.

I get a sense there's this looming dread of having to deal with someone saying, "We can't survive (or will have a bad time) as a species if we sit back and slurp big agra, but we can't realistically keep everyone around/afford it if we try to help everyone eat 'correctly/safely'." If the organic path is the moral path, is it OK to allow food costs to increase substantially?

Agra is dirty like hell and words cannot describe the sanitation situation there.

Of course - but that's been going on for decades, and there's a reason one of the biggest players is named Con[solidated]Agra[culture].

And what if the other company that swoops in is Con Agra?
