Uh, unless you consider Yishan Wong (former reddit CEO) publicly stating it[1], and Alexis himself admitting it[2] 'speculation', then I think the evidence is solid enough.

Of course, once Ellen stepped down and Yishan already exposed Alexis, he admitted it.

What I want to see is legal action taken against Yishan for fueling this well beyond its natural life.

Former employee kickme44 pointed out that Alexis actually reported to Ellen, despite his role, and Yishan then back peddles on his claims somewhat.

But I've been hanging around Reddit long enough to remember when people were fretting about Yishan Wong ruining the site.

I think what this shows is the downside of having Yishan Wong as your CEO or ex-CEO, more than anything else.

I was on the board when Yishan made his sudden departure and ultimately came back because the timing was right + reddit needed the help.

As far as I can tell, unless I missed it, it's pretty much just Yishan and Alexis with Ellen staying out of pretty much everything.

Though to be fair it was after Yishan accused him of perpetrating a "long con" to regain control of reddit.

I'm pretty sure Pao's "remove" was going to be a tiny fraction of what will end up hidden and she was closer to Yishan's "Do whatever" position than Huffman will be.

Yishan posted a couple hours ago that Reddit's business model is built upon flamewars.

Long before Yishan's post, Ohanian posted on Reddit saying he both owned the reorg of AMAs and flubbed the transition with Victoria Taylor.

Yishan is pretty clearly biased, but yeah, he is definitely entertaining.
