vimium

The Vimium extension for Chrome is a decent way to get used to the 'hjkl' movement key bindings.

Smooth scrolling but that interferes with my scroll rate and vimium which also optionally does smooth scrolling.

VimFx too - It's basically a clone of Vimium for Firefox, meaning it alters Firefox far less than Vimperator/Pentadactyl.

The minimalism is why I vastly prefer Vimium to e.g.

If vimium doesn't allow that kind of customization, pentadactyl and vimperator look like other possible options.

I also use Firefox with Vimperator and I've tried Vimium on Chrome, but both are obviously tacked on.

Chronologically it's the other way around I think: Vimium was inspired by the Firefox plugins Vimperator and Pentadactyl.

I even use VIM to do everything in the browser (vimium), and that helps cut down on mouse usage a ton.

I'll have to look into vimium to see if I could at least do it for the sites I visit often.

I don't understand how people can stand vimium - but that's probably because I've grown used to vimperator more than anything else.

I used dwb for months now, and only today switched to Vimium (Chromium addon) after finding alternatives like qutebrowser, uzbl, conkeror lacking.

Vimperator and the much better fork Pentadactyl have been around for years on Firefox, and implement everything Vimium does and more, in a much more reliable way.

There was previously a Firefox add-on that shared the name Vimium, but it doesn't seem to be maintained anymore.

VimFx for Firefox (there's one for Chrome too, Vimium).

Recently, I switched to i3[0] and Vimium[1] and it's just wonderful.
