Maha Bandha consists of Jalahandra Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha and Mula Bandha.

I've learned that the Uddiyana part is more important than the Vajroli.

If nauli cannot be done then uddiyana bandha.

I’ve seen photos of him practicing and he’s definitely doing uddiyana bandha, but I’d be surprised if he teaches that, it requires deep transverse abdominis activation to do.

When you pass the point of no return, you employ Vajroli mudra and exhale slowly into Uddiyana and then exhale again and then exhale again (for a total of 3 times) and finally stretch like a cat taking the energy up the spine.

By the practice of Siddhasana, Sirshasana, Sarvangasana, Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Maha Mudra, Yoga Mudra, Nauli, etc., a Hatha Yogi transmutes his seminal energy into Ojas-Sakti.

I’ve tried to find a tummo teacher (haven’t found one), but I’ve read “The Bliss of Inner Fire” and from what I understand a fundamental part of it involves mula and uddiyana bandhas being engaged in conjunction with the “vase” breath.

I have myself felt a distinct difference in my mood/performance on those days that i practice Nauli/Uddiyana Bandha/Mula Bandha.

Uddiyana Bandha should build chakra awareness in your stomach.

While sitting in Siddhasana I turn my hands so my thumbs are on the outside of my thighs and my fingers are on the inside and straighten out my arms using them as a brace to squeeze everything I can out of my diaphragm when I go into Uddiyana.
