Out of curiosity, is there some reason you are not directly mentioning the state of the two towns?

The core of these organizations was small business owners, a group which once ran their small towns, and no longer does.

These shootings took place in big cities, suburban areas, towns, and in rural areas.

But if you live outside of the big towns it's useful to drive.

It's not one urban area, it's big cities and small towns all over.

They weave through most cities/towns, provide insulation from populations on the ground and relatively easy recoverability (as opposed to being destroyed on impact).

Some of those organizations existed to push back against big business, especially railroads, back when railroads had a monopoly on shipments to small towns.

There's a long, long history to this from shanty towns to tenements.

This was part of the deregulation bill, thrown in to mollify representatives of smaller towns and rural areas, who otherwise would have opposed deregulation.

What I didn't expect was how badly it failed in the one of the most progressive/liberal towns in the state: Boulder.

They're reasonably large buildings, but not entire towns like in SF.

The original police forces were created and controlled by company towns.

The largest I've heard of seem more like "towns" than "cities".
