Off-topic slightly, but it's worth mentioning Louisa Lim, former NPR / BBC's China correspondent had recently published the book The People's Republic of Amnesia: Tiananmen Revisited.

There's a similar bubble in the PRC: if you talk to someone inside it, they know all about Tiananmen Square, Tibet, the recent Hong Kong protests, etc.

Instead of that "script detected" they should convert the whole page to something the Chinese government really hates, like Tiananmen Square massacre.

The PLA has mostly been oppressing ethnic minorities within China's expanded imperial borders (Uighurs, Tibetans, Tiananmen) since it fought "natives" in its own Vietnam War in 1979.

I realized it was a veiled reference to the Tiananmen Square massacre, which is known as the June 4th incident in China (literally, "six four incident").

I meant to imply that if you're willing to say "the ends justify the means" to kill people at Tiananmen Square, you don't have very good standing to criticize the French Revolution, because it's in fact easier to make that same argument about the French Revolution than it is about Tiananmen Square.
