If you're upset with the tax breaks and subsidies, then elect someone who will deal with them.

They receive billions of $ subsidies annually to save those people from unemployment and potential social unrest.

People are paying for these corporations through tax breaks, subsidies & other governmental projects (Tesla for example).

However, that's totally different than granting similar rights and subsidies to acres of cash-crops and chemical-refineries!

Many world-changing industries have not needed $10^8 loans or $5,000 per-unit consumer subsidies to take off.

Consider what would happen if public minutes were published while say discussing the US bio-ethenol subsidies?

But those subsidies exist for a reason and taking advantage of them is not weakness.

All of these have had extraordinary subsidies in terms of loans, grants, tax breaks, etc.

That's why basically all developed countries have some type of social housing component from demand-side subsidies to public housing or regulated stock.

You still have the problem that subsidies are generally thought to cost money.

Well now we need to add a line to our contract that eliminates those subsidies.

Governments dramatically impact the price of the housing market already via any manner of policies such as zoning, regressive tax subsidies on mortgages and even school funding.

And as far as the whole "does not pay" / "subsidies" - that is a nonsense argument because no one applies that standard to the interstate highway system or to airports.
