It ended up cheaper even taking into account a night in Sheraton than economy tickets + baggage for 3 people.

Obviously you think the staff does not represent Sheraton in any way, shape or form.

But yeah, especially post Sheraton acquisition, Marriott properties branding is a bit of a mess.

As we stayed on the south-side, we mostly enjoyed our simpler accommodations while only seeing the Sheraton et.

Hell I had drinks in the Sydney Sheraton spa with a McKinsey buddy recently who was doing just that.

I believe they were 2 Courtyard Marriotts, 1 Residence Inn (Marriott), and a Sheraton (don't remember the hotel class).

With that thought in mind, no one at Sheraton represents them except...

On trips, I pay the difference between the Motel 6 and the Sheraton (or whatever).

That Sheraton hotel isn’t anything to write home about though.

That said it's cheaper for me to stay in a Sheraton in Times Square than use Airbnb (which I usually use when traveling).

I just sold 1 million bottles of shampoo to Sheraton Hotels, rev 500,000.

It overlaps a lot with Marriott's Aloft--which I think was originally a Sheraton brand--(and to a lesser degree Yotel which downsizes rooms to a greater degree).

The one I was thinking of when I said it was the “The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu”, which seems to be about 70% of the €200 price I paid for the Sheraton (and lightyears better).

You just find high-end hotels (Hilton, Radisson, Sheraton, Four Seasons etc) all over the world.

Post-Sheraton acquisition, I find the Marriott branding can be a bit random.
