You have to setup a computer for ruby too and the kids aren't doing that part.

We have been setup around 2Y and have performed well however there is exciting potential for rapid tech driven growth.

My setup is after trial and error: vim + (nerd tree, command-T, tagbar, Gundo) inside a tmux session.

So far excellent for me, I feel Zen like coding with this setup with no IDE noise:-).

Heck most modern solutions even setup all the environment variables and paths so you barely even notice that you are on a different file system when you using them.

I didn't claim it was prohibitively difficult to eventually get setup or that I couldn't do it; I'm objecting to the need to "get an autodesk id" in the first place and the entire culture that is wrapped around that need.
