The people in Schwyz (around Muotathal), Uri (Oberes Reusstal), and Luzern (Entlebuch) are like: Let us encourage our kids smoke that shit!

Taxes in Zürich are fairly low, anything you'd save living in Zug or Schwyz would probably go into your much higher rent.

Specifically in urban areas (Geneva, Zürich etc.) but also in tax haven cantons (Zug, Schwyz etc.), because you pay a premium for housing/rent there.

It gets a little cheaper in Zug and Schwyz but not much.

For people non-familiar with Switzerland, though, it needs pointing out that Pfäffikon SZ is no longer in Zurich city nor Zurich state, but Schwyz (thus the SZ).

I researched Switzerland a bit and it seems your comment about taxes is valid if you assume that you live a low tax canton like Schwyz or Zug (from where you can commute 30-60 minutes to work in Zuerich).

Schwyz was the name of one Kanton, but soon used by outsiders to describe the whole confedereation.

The Swiss constitution is from 1848, and before Napoleon only Schwyz, Uri and Unterwalden would be considered nonauthorian.

But in case you are really curious this is only in more rural areas like Schwyz.
