They've proposed using the Keccak team's own Sakura padding - which is a pretty simple padding, also ready for use with tree-hashes.

However, since the Sakura construction (and several other constructions) are provably as strong as the underlying hash, this is a waste of space.

I do have one question though, why are the colors more pale in sakura than in xterm?

Thanks for letting me know about sakura, I think it's the first one to actually match the rendering speed of xterm.

I have no idea about sakura, but being a libvte-based terminal, I highly doubt it's comparable (or even approaches ) xterm in term of rendering speed.

Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Cardcaptor Sakura all seem to be pretty well known among the younger generations and by extension the older generations who raise and take care of them.

Properly implemented Merkle trees (such as using the Sakura construction) are provably as strong as the underlying hash algorithm and allow lightweight cryptographic proof that a given block belongs to the file in question and belongs in the claimed place.

Not sure about others, but the first thing I test: dmesg; ps auxww; ls /dev I only really care about apparent speed and, like I said, sakura was the only one that was comparable to xterm.

Friends come over to visit my ten year old son and it's often hard to get them to watch something like "Teen Titans" or "Card Captor Sakura" which they can watch Annoying Orange or Dovetastic Microwave Theatre or something else on Youtube.
