Since Hammond trusted Sabu and spoke to him a lot (although I think Hammond knew that Sabu was more operations/motivation than skill).

Hammond was the most politically involved and savvy yet he didn't know about them, I really doubt Sabu did.

The Sabu evidence gave the feds enough information to issue Hammond an entirely separate indictment for Stratfor, something that happen nowhere else in Lulzsec hacking cases.

So naturally there is more evidence against Hammond, than there is evidence against Topiary and the europeans who spoke to Sabu much less and didn't trust him.

They had a huge run, but once Sabu flipped and turned most of his crew into the feds, there wasn't anybody else left would/could carry torch any further.

In particular, I recall that Sabu did this quite a lot.

About Stratfor, court documents for Sabu the FBI snitch show that the leaked data was directed to an FBI server when the site was hacked and the data ex-filtrated.

When law enforcement caught up with Sabu and turned him, Lulzsec didn't stop, they actually got worse: they went through a period of unusually high activity, with Sabu at the reins, and the FBI at his reins.

A bonus to having a dedicated system for whatever secret squirrel things you're doing is it's a physical barrier protecting you from yourself, like when Sabu accidentally logged into IRC in the clear.

Jeremy Hammond (Stratfor hack) had really good technical opsec but made the mistake of talking about his IRL exploits to Sabu which led the FBI to connect his online identity to his IRL political activism.

Now, several years later, with this and other leaks related to Sabu and Hammond, I wonder: was I used as a pawn in the FBI's game to entrap anonymous?

This occurred during the same time period when Lulz Sec was being effectively run by the FBI via the turned informant-inside-man Sabu.
