Watched Riddick in cinema last night and there was an ads for Grand Theft Auto V.

The voice acting in the Riddick games is top notch.

No mention of Starbreeze and the new Riddick game.

One of the things I really enjoyed about the Riddick movies was the alien planets actually looking alien instead of like Canadian forestland.

There's only a handful of great movie/game transitions and I like to think that's one of them (the Riddick games being the others on that short list).

I find that religion adds an interesting dimension to space sci-fi - Dune, The Expanse, and even some of the Riddick movies feature religion in varying degrees.

For example, I couldn't get Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena to work on Windows (when it was new) initially because of a weird bugginess associated with Securom and Windows.

Back in the early 2000's he had all kinds of camera motion recovery algorithms we used in the Tracking department for use on feature films like the live action Scooby Doo, Riddick and the Narnia films.

Reminds me of the opposite problem we can see in "The Chronicles of Riddick" (2004).

The real winner that year was The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, which did what Doom 3 did (stencil shadows, normal maps, unified lighting) on Xbox months before Doom 3's release on PC.
