Close to home (US) Puerto Rico is having difficulties paying their bonds for similar reasons, believing that they could get bailed out just because of what they are.

This is particularly important since more countries are going in the same direction as Greece (I think Spain and Puerto Rico are close, but I might be wrong).

Puerto Rico isn't "US aligned", it's part of the US.

Look at Puerto Rico, look at China, hell look at the UK and how it's economy is currently stacked.

For that matter, the debt (of Greece/Puerto Rico) is owned by other states/countries either directly or indirectly.
