Meditation, qigong (as someone had mentioned further down in this thread), and other modalities work on this.

You would perhaps get further looking for western studies of the health benefits of Qigong practice.

I have no incentive or desire to try to persuade you of the efficacy and validity of qigong.

I've been practicing daily meditation/qigong and my western mind wants to augment my efforts with some type of biofeedback device.

And just to be clear: I don't particularly consider qigong as science or even pseudoscience.

Not to say that there is nothing correct or useful coming from QiGong, but that each of those things should be tested and evaluated individually.

As for scientific explanations of qigong: there are a few things that cannot be explained, as it hits the limitations and nature of linguistics and narrative.

Started to practice genuine Shaolin QiGong & Shaolin Kung Fu.

This is a somewhat common phenomenon in the martial arts that practice Tai Chi/qigong/reki I used to teach a martial art that practiced this.

I once did a qigong practice in front of the kid.

I attribute a lot of my willpower to qigong.

(NB: quantum theory pseudo-scientific-bollocks klaxon) Qigong may get results, but it's certainly pseudoscience.

People try to use the "pseudo-science" to persuade others to try qigong.

(Btw, Aside from hacking, I'm a martial artist, body worker and qigong practitioner, I've dealt with my own tendon problem for fifteen years and I'm feeling really healthy at the moment, so this is a good topic...) Paying attention to your body is much closer to the problem than gadgets - but I believe that "work out" often isn't close enough.

You won't find scientific information about it, because like Qigong, it's pseudoscience.

I assume your parent commenter is referring to the general concept of 'qi', and its manipulation in practices such as Qigong.

Qigong and neigong do tap into this, so you are in good company:-) I doubt we will see any significant scientific research on this until our models of consciousness get sophisticated enough.
