putty

The offical is at a ~sgtatham/putty/ web address which seems very old school.

All the other developers are using Windows and putty shells and Sublime Text as their editor.

For, say, PuTTY, which releases roughly once every two years and primarily targets a single platform, these concerns don't apply and PuTTY in fact is a native app.

There is various forks of Putty that now store the configuration in files instead of registry.

I was suggesting using clay or putty, perhaps with a light sprinkling of TNT for flavor.

Where do you even get a trusted copy of the putty binary?

Concerns over how to obtain it aside, what's wrong with PuTTY?

Now I won't have to rely on that terrible, terrible program PuTTY.

I like the design, it reminds me of tarsnap and putty, othe utilities that have been in use for decades because they put functionality first.
