If pitta refers to pita bread, as in the round flatbread originating in the middle east, I can tell you the word is not used in Arabic.

I just meant that the world is full of amazing vegetarian/vegan food - homemade hummus, pitta and roasted veg.

Vata, pitta, and kapha describe these brain types that have been a permanent staple of society since we left Africa.
