Japan is not anime and otaku -- that is just the part of the culture that has been exported successfully.

When working at home, just hook a DasKeyboard or a Filco Otaku on the USB port.

Akihabara is still a fun place to visit, but it seems to have been taken over entirely by the Otaku culture.

The term Otaku in Japan has a negative connotation, but most anime fans in the USA have embraced the term and self-identify with it as a positive thing.

Heck, even if every native-born English speaker stopped writing and reading novels, there's a good chance that some community of Japanese Otaku would arise to lovingly curate it forever.

Japanese anime otaku and Japanese adult video enthusiasts have respectively criticised their (self-styled) western counterparts who tend to pirate the anime and adult movies instead of supporting the creators.

(And one now works at SquareEnix, living the otaku dream.) Hobbies are nice and relaxing.

People would feel the constant pressure to live up to insane expectations and if they could not hold up to them, they would be anxious to leave their houses (otaku).

Or that like it, but don't want to be associated with the word "otaku"?

There isn't really another way to determine things like "does pro-photography and/or an Otaku vibe positively or negatively effect conversions?" And a question: How are you purchasing postage?

Any game that makes male-female relationships a part of core game-play instead of an optional bolt-on is instantly branded as a weird Japanese dating simulator for Otaku's who never leave their houses.
