It's worth remembering though: most people incarcerated in the US are not incarcerated for drug crimes.

Not just taxes--there are over two million Americans currently incarcerated, the vast majority of which are working age nonviolent offenders.

You should have all the rights non-incarcerated people have - free association, voting, gun ownership.

So of course people were outraged by that sort of thing and now the pendulum has swung to the "life means life" and there is little to no consideration of prior record, behavior while incarcerated, or possible other extenuating circumstances.

So men are more heavily represented in engineering, physics, mathematics, etc, but they're also more frequently mentally retarded, homeless, die of homicide, commit suicide, and wind up incarcerated - general "failing" type things.

Saying that "I have it on clear authority that vacri & sillygoose are thieves; liars; adulterers; responsible for a toxic spill that poisoned kids; stole from the pension accounts; rigged elections; etc" is of itself not actionable, but if such libel can be adjudicated the cause of otherwise baseless abuse by society inflicted on vacri & sillygoose then yes I can be incarcerated as a danger to society.
