Getting a web project up and running can be a nightmare (no, using Heroku merely hides the problem...it's still there).

Sorry it was actually the Heroku CLI that didn't work - can't remember the exact error but it stopped me deploying.

Convox seems extremely interesting to me, since our goal is a single-server heroku experience.

Amazon is great and you're far cheaper than Heroku itself but I'd love to throw this on DigitalOcean or Vultr.
