The reason I don't buy that line of reasoning is: The Lions eat the Gazelles, yet there are still Gazelles out there.

The concept of harmony can refer to lions not chasing gazelles, which is certainly unrealistic, but it can also mean sustainable and balanced.

Is that any different from the crocodile who waits quietly by the riverbank until the gazelles come to drink?

One could just look at it as zoologists studying lions (Facebook) interacting with gazelles (the population) in their natural habitat.

Also, Gazelles and Zebras share the same land, and one hasn't starved the other of resources.
